Vernon Downs and Tioga Downs closing?

I go to college at Ithaca, 40 minutes away from Tioga Downs and a little over an hour from Vernon. This has been thrown around for a few weeks, and rumblings around the community have said that as much as 70% of what Tioga Downs makes in a year goes right back to the state in the form of taxes.

It'd be a shame if they closed the tracks down. They did some SERIOUS work on Tioga Downs a few years ago, and it's a pretty cool place that does decent business.
