Gulfstream Race 6

#5 Can't Stop Me

Seems to have been begging for the extra ground he will finally get today. The move back to turf helps, but I think I'd feel comfortable playing the likely value with today's stretch out factor even if this one comes off the turf.

Alternate: Turfway Race 6 - #1 Yonah Melee - blinkers comes off for the new trainer after only a one race experiment. Trainer has worked miracles from his limited starters. At a 5/1 morning price and a small 6 horse field, he's not going to pay a bunch, but he looks very live.

GP race 6-maybe the easiest winner of the day!

Tiverton-steadied hard last time out on a firm turf course, the course is in excellent shape best it has been for the entire meet thus far, he will be guided by a new Jock today, Eddie Castro who wont think twice about putting the horses nose right in the race early on. If you want to get real bold throw Hawkinsville in for an exacta as this one gets JR on board who is starting to get the feel for winning again. Run to the windows on this one. Tiverton to win!

Alternate is Hawkinsville.

I'm looking to hit the board here, lots of inside speed for my #8 Speedball Howie to run at...shortening up, good trainers stats and a bullet work puts my guy into the mix--

$2 to PLACE on #8 Speedball Howie (I'm afraid Dutrow might steal the win with his #4 Salzburg)

Today's Contest Selection

Bay Meadows Race 5

#1 Kona Town Girlies (ML 9-2) $2 Win

KTG is fourth on the ML but looks to be the best on the Bris PP's. She ranks #1 in Prime Power by 2.8 points and is ranked #1 in current class by 2.2 points. Two of the three more favored entries are coming back off rather significant lay-offs. The Jock Luis Contreras is solid (15%) and sports an impressive positive .24 ROI on approx. 850 mounts over the last year. The trainer looks suspect but in light of other positives, I'll take my chances.

KTG has only 3 races under her belt having won 2 of those. The field today appears weaker than what she has faced in two of her three starts. All three of her Bris Speed figures are well in excess of the winning par for this race type. She has only raced on the tapeta at Golden Gate, but has some nice works over the Bay Meadows track. The rail is winning at 21% and should suit her.

Hoping the Morning Line holds up and we get a little value here!

Best of Luck Today Everyone!
