Have no real problem with anyone on this intial list, but there are two horses with nothing but maiden wins and three others with nothing but allowance wins ...

How can they not have Turf War listed as an individual betting interest? This colt won the Delta Jackpot in a dead-heat with Z Humor and based on those earnings he is practically guaranteed a spot in the Derby starting gate if he stays healthy.

These are the 3 horses I'm going to put a few dollars on. Don't get me wrong, I'd never invest any kind of real money in these pools, let alone the first one, but for these odds these 3 I feel worthy for a couple $5 win bets.

Of the 27 individual pools on which futures betting has been conducted, only once has a favored individual betting interest won the Derby (2000 Pool 3 Fusaichi Pegasus at 3-1).

Colonel John and Into Mischief for Me. Can pretty much gaurantee they'll each win a derby prep race if they dont' get hurt.

I waited until about 10 minutes before the betting closed and only made two small wagers that I thought may be worth it.

Into Mischief at 25-1 and Tale of Ekati at 33-1

I went to bet Pyro after his killer run Saturday and almost fell over when I saw 5-1. I feel bad for those who bet him. There's a good chance he'll go over that price on derby day after knowing he does over the next couple months.
