I used to do the James brown dance in my youth. Would bike to the hardward store on Main st every Satuday and buy the latest Motown 45, cost 50 cents!!

He used to do a bit in a song, "I'm weak without your love" or something like it, and would feign weakness while singing, would drop to one knee and an assistant would put a coat over his shoulders....Great performer even without the good music.

I know I loved that! I miss that time, I'lm old enough to remember. We used to to the Casino in Nags Head where they had all these nice soul bands, had them in Murfreesboro and sometimes they even came to our high school Friday night dances after the football game.
