I spent all afternoon trying to find someone in town that has Dish Network so I could see The Donn. My local dog track just shutdown and I couldn't find anybody with HRTV, everyone has tvg but no hrtv. Let's hear it for Magna who could have built a great SA/GP telecast for national television but didn't and tried to hide behind HRTV. And not to mention HRTV has horrible compared to TVG.

I am of the belief that HRTV does not smellith. I likeith.

I gotta get that lisp fixed.

TVG is to HRTV as CNBC is to Bloomberg, a matter of taste and your willingness to listen to schtick (actually Jim Cramer is probably worse than Matt Caruthers--cetainly a bigger blowhard). Production quality is definitely better on TVG.

But, I would agree that the tracks are probably playing the content game wrong. You aren't going to drive anymore people to DISH or get more cable systems to carry your signal by withholding signal distribution of your stakes races--Magna is not the NFL.

There are so many factors working against this game.

Before we get to bashing the racing networks to seriously, let me tell you...

Caught a bit of a movie called "Saratoga" the other day. It was quite a sight to see Clark Gable and friends staring at a RADIO!

I have nothing against top-notch radio. Have an excellent radio show on racing ? Bring it on.

The last three races are for maidens. I guess one is the feature?
