Thorostats for 2008

Thorostats main goal is to reach the widest handicapping audience and with the many
different operating systems in use today we have chosen an on line, open platform venue
to distribute our products. Today's new technology allows us to reach a wider, "mobile"
consumer base, rather than limiting our on line handicapping to hard copies of software as
we did in the mid 90's with our highly regarded ProCapper software.

If you haven't logged in to Thorostats (http://www.thorostats.com/) in awhile you will find several new changes when you
return to visit.

Our latest addition to your handicapping arsenal is the new HOOF report, an acronym that
stands for "Handicap On Overall Factors." With the addition of the HOOF report, we have
started to offer our users the flexibility of setting their own handicapping filters for each
race. The HOOF report consists of more than ninety factors dealing with Form, Class,
Speed and Pace. Statistics generated by the report are based on meetings at the track for
the race. More to come….

This report is a major step forward in improving our current Race Selection Reports for our
users. We've been able to provide a unique interface into viewing the results of past races
in relation to handicapping an individual race. The original selection reports are designed
as a pre-defined handicapping sheet with factor based ratings. It's important to say to
everyone that the original ratings have remained unchanged. The CLASS, PACE,
CONNECTIONS, and SPEED FIGURE calculations are not altered by the HOOF report.

The weighting of our Power Rating’s and another new feature, our Thorostats Fair Value
Odds Line can be adjusted using the additional features below. The addition of the HOOF
report now gives our users access to many of the factors we use to actually rank our
selections. All users now have access to this information that we hope will provide
everyone with a better understanding of the class, speed and form markers for each of the
race entries.

Users have the ability to control how the HOOF report will weight the Power number and
it's corresponding odds line. You first select the factor category or combination of factors
you wish to analyze. You next select the date range for the track specific statistics to
include in the data. Users then can weight the HOOF report value by a factor of up to five
times. This allows any user the flexibility to make the HOOF factor the most important or
the least important factor or any weight in between one and five to consider when the
Power Rating is calculated. More to come…

This unique feature for presenting our handicappers this type of flexibility will help to insure
that your research will have value, because you are creating your own personal
handicapping settings and Fair Odds line. We are proud and excited to offer this new tool
as our featured handicapping product. Thorostats would like to invite all of our past visitors
and all who may not have tried us out yet. We are confident that you'll enjoy the new
report outputs.

That isn't all that is new for 2008!

For any serious or beginning Par Time users, we have added the Custom Par time
generator. Thorostats par time subscribers now have the option of creating their own par
time lines with our Custom Par Creator tool. Users can create their own set of pars and
have complete control over the process. You can create pars for any class level and
distance at any track. Generate custom pars by setting filters for class, purse, distance,
surface, age, sex and by setting the specific date range for collecting your pars. By default
we include only fast track races in the par time database. Anyone who is subscribed to
our par and class time service will have access to this new tool. The custom Par Time
Generator should soon prove to be an invaluable tool for many par time makers.

We have several other items of note to mention here as well:

We've added extensive online documentation to help explain our ratings
We've addressed several small bug issues
We've made changes to our algorithms that have tweaked our rating performance
We are in the final stages of securing an Equibase Licensed Data provider
All are exciting developments that we wanted to share with our users for the new year.

Once we have secured a licensed data provider which is of paramount importance to us,
Thorostats plans to aggressively continue our product development path into 2008 with as
much gusto as went to last years efforts. Enhanced Speed and Pace numbers, Past
Performance Information, improvements to our Program Performance tool, improvements
to the HOOF Report, user selectable compound ratings, weighting systems and any other
ideas that our users may care to put forward.

It's a new age of technology and here at Thorostats we want to deliver to users World wide
our Online Handicapping Applications. Having a licensed data provider will allow us to
expand on our products and give our members what they want and need in their
handicapping arsenal. We invite you to come visit us once again and during the entire next
week we will offer our Gulfstream Park Reports, including the HOOF Report features,
FREE to ALL MEMBERS so that you may test drive our site more completely.

From all of us here at Thorostats we wish to thank those who have been our supporters
over the years. Thank you for helping us have a great 2007 and we look forward to serving
more of your handicapping needs as we move ahead. Good Luck to everyone in their
handicapping and wagering activities. Please let us know (http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/support@thorostats.com)if there is anything we can do to
help you realize your goals for this season.

Sincerely,
Tony Boles and Mike "Murph" Powers

 Thorostats is a great website - they put a lot of work into thier products and it shows. I like that you can look at specific tracks/types of races ans see how each of thier factors are doing for specified time periods. You can pick and choose your spots based on real results. And the part times section alone is woth the trip over.
