The ninth at Gulfstream Park today is a contentious classified allowance on the turf. Even with the late scratch of #11 Balto Star, there's plenty of speed in the 8-horse field including #1 Swift Replica, #5 Fan Club's Mister, #7 Sir Brian's Sword and #9 Wertz. I like #6 North East Bound (M/L 6-1) to work out the right trip with patient Pay Day aboard. Note that with the temporary rails up (15 feet today), the turf course does not favor closers nearly as much as it usually does on weekends when they go from the hedge.

I'll take #7 Sir Brians Swordfish...Looking for him to stay close to the pace and pull away on the stretch...

#2 for me. Has a turn time of +22 over the others and he has showed he can win first out after time off and show nice works since raced and for a added bonus you get Bailey up.

for me it's the 9. this horse loves racing at gp and on the turf at gp.
I was hoping with Shuman picking him up he might get good odds because Shuman is terrible on grass.

started out at 7/2. now at 5-1. if he goes up a little more...bang.

#9 Wertz might go wire to wire at a decent price.

I had the tri in that race on a 36.00 ticket. I had lost my first 4 tri bets today, needed that one. Looked that the #2 was not going to get through for awhile there..
