bourbon. I drink about once every two months. After my whining session and bad day yesterday, I had a nice glass of "Old Grandad," nice going down, but yucky hangover one hour or so later! I bet Wild Turkey wouldn't have done this, but maybe... for $3 more I should have gone for WT or my old friend Jim Beam.

What's a really nice bourbon???

Oh my I'll look for it!! I love bourbon. Even with the Ole Grandad I slept so great I have never felt more wonderful! that's the secret -- good sleep and lots of it.

I have always had a soft spot in my heart ( and head) for Jim Beam and Old Crow. Ole, Jim, he used to sneak up on me and rassle me down. Dang, he had my number!

Sammy, I'm sorry but Crown (Royal and Special Reserve) is not bourbon. It is a blended whiskey.

To me, the finest, smoothest, brown liquor in the world.

If you're ever in Lexington and you have an afternoon when Keeneland is dark, head out Versailles Road, turn left, and travel back to Labrot and Graham Distillary, where Woodford Reserve is made and bottled. Many would say, its the finest bourbon there is. Others would choose Makers Mark Gold.

Kentuckians know bourbon better than anyone I know. Kentuckians, along with those that live just south--in Tennessee, where Jack Daniels is made.

Not sure it qualifies as pure bourbon

Nope - Bourbon is only distilled in Ky.

Bourbon is appropriately referred to as Sissy Whiskey. If you must (and I'd rather not) reach for the single barrel offerings.

As Bourbon is the county in KY it's named after, almost all comes from the KWhy State.

I read somewhere that WildTurkey is the official drink of the the National Bowlers Assoc. That must be why they all wear shirts that don't match their slacks.

There are some bourbons being distilled in NY, IN, PA and an OK one in Cinci OH called Woodstone Creek
