Does a makeup bet have to be placed all on one race? Also, are you allowed to post a makeup bet and then "miss" making a bet on the day's featured race? Here's the loophole I have in mind: someone intentionally ignoring the races of the day, and using their makeup bets to exclusively make bets on races that they have a stronger opinion on the next day.
GOOD POINTS, STEVE. Thanks for asking. The MINIMUM and MAXIMUM amount you can bet on ANY RACE IS $20. Make up bets CANNOT be combined in ANY wager AND MUST be bet entirely on one race and one race only. For example, you have $60 to make up. You CANNOT bet all $60 on one race. You MUST bet on THREE DIFFERENT RACES making three SEPARATE $20 bets. Point #2, if you place a make up bet, you MUST BET ON THE RACE OF THE DAY ALSO. You CANNOT avoid betting on todays race simply because you do NOT have a good "opinion". I hope this answers your concerns...GOOD LUCK.

Yep, that sounds good. There's one more loophole to close: I think there needs to be a limit on makeups. What could happen is you get someone looking to join in (or resume playing) near the end of the contest, so they end up getting 6 or 8 cherry-picked shots at races they like that day.

We'll go back to using the BRISNET "Race of the Day" as a basis for this one.

CONTEST GOES LIKE THIS:
1. YOU HAVE ONLY $20 TO BET ON THIS RACE...ANY WAGER THE TRACK OFFERS.

2. YOU MISS A DAY, YOU MAY WAGER THE MAKE UP $20 ON ANY OTHER RACE AT ANY OTHER TRACK, BUT YOU MUST POST THIS WAGER AS A MAKEUP, NOTING FOR WHICH DAY YOU ARE MAKING UP IN ORDER FOR THE WAGER TO BE VALID. AGAIN, NO COMBINING OF WAGERS AS YOU ARE LIMITED TO $20 PER RACE PER DAY (MAKEUPS INCLUDED).

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!

I kind of agree here. There should be a limit on one or two makeups in case you don't have time to participate one day. Unlimited makeups kind of defeats the purpose of having to play the chosen race every day. I will abide by the judges decision. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I felt a little guilty betting the chalk here, but I guess if you consider that horses with a 7 point Prime Power advantage win almost 50% of the time, $4.20 for the win was a fair price...

I also notice that your place horse was the #2 Prime Power horse. If we would have just trusted good ole' Bris and played a cold $20 6-1 Exacta, we could have really made some contest moolah today $17.60 x 10 = $176.

Geez, what do we need, a roadmap? :lol:
