Sedgefield is in the 7th at Gulfstream, Sunday, 13 January. I see the 3, 4 and 11 vying for the top spots. Numbercrunch suggests Sedge should be useful at the bottom of a trifecta and superfecta.
BUT-
Coa doesn't ride junk so I might also include him in an exacta box with the aforementioned if he looks especially good in the paddock and during the warm-up.

Quickly looking the race over: no real insight that adds much value

Track seems to favor Presser & Closers and hard to win from outside.

I like the #5 Parading, then 4/11/3

Thanks PASS, I agree with almost everything you said! (You probably should report my presence under this handle to the administrator...he thinks Claudia is ...someone else.)

Huh? The more confused I get, the more apt I am to simply ban everyone....

There was a poster on another message board named Claudia. "She" ran up nearly 10,000 posts with picks from all over the world. Then people caught on that her money totals (wins/losses) weren't accurate, picks were changed after the race, that whole deal. (Or maybe she was framed, I'm not reading all 10000 posts. I'm just writing about what led to the person being banned.) It got ugly, Claudia got banned, and a bunch of other aliases left with her. Some of those names have shown up in the Whobet fanclub, some of them are showing up in the PowerPlay threads.

What a bizarre twist, so PowerPlay is really Claudia? Has anyone ever seen Claudia?

I'll have to go with #4 as the best value in this competitive race.

Thanks Ralph. For the record, I admit to being a fan of Claudia's. I enjoy her mind and wit. Her picks (she hates that word) aren't bad either. (If I capped as well as she, I wouldn't mind being mistaken for her... except it would confuse my children and lady friends.

I mostly consult her picks to construct 3-horse exacta boxes or two-horse part wheels and rarely spend more than $12 on a ticket. I drool over some of her picks (and some of mine) during the work week when I can't bet them from my workplace. (I can hit the forums during breaks, though!) I generally won't post my picks unless I CAN bet them. That leaves me to concentrate on night racing and weekends.

I'm a former owner and pinhooker; I follow a few trainers that I've had personal dealings with in the past. I follow Silverton Hill horses because their trainer, Darrin Miller, is my friend and formerly my trainer and pinhook partner.

Additionally, I'm a believer in physicality capping so my assessment of a horse's appearance and behavior in the paddock and during warm-up can alter my previous PP-based plan. If my picks look like hell during the warm-up, it's too late to tell you about it. So I don't post much.

I know Claudia's "betting levels" are irksome to some of you. My advice is, ignore them and concentrate on her picks and their sequencing. If you don't use her ENTIRE "strategy/betting levels" for each race, her "results" are meaningless to you anyway, so IGNORE them as well. It'll keep your blood pressure down.

Well, Claudia already said she's done - she can't stand the pressure here. Thank god you're still here, Whitemeat.

I watched the race where Sedgefield raced at Turfway.
He had a horse (good enough to win against the other horses), but seemed spooked.
What did Sedgefield go off at post time???

Friend, I can help you best by helping you access a very basic research tool. If you don't like TSNHORSE, http://www.tsnhorse.com (http://www.tsnhorse.com/) , you can find similar at http://www.equibase.com or http://www.drf.com in any case, you should register with one or more of these....it's free.

Go to the TSNHORSE?? homepage. Then, select the link to Results and Charts. Choose "Instant Charts (they give post time odds for each horse) for Gulfstream, January 13 and left-click Sedgefield's (7th) race. (Or click "All" and scroll down) ..... What you'll get is on the link below!
