SAX: all sprints changed to 5.5F - why???

anyone have any knowledge as to why all the sprint races where changed to 5.5F while they kept the route races and turf races unchanged???


could it be the chute is where they are having a problem with the AW track?

It was mentioned yesterday that the biggest problem was at the 3/4 pole and that they would likely move the 6 furlong races to 5 1/2. Not a problem for routes since the horses are already closer to the rail by the 3/4 pole.

If they move it to Hollywood, a lot of races will be like that, regardless of whether the track surface is okay.

TVG is reporting that they are considering moving the Santa Anita Meet to Hollywood (or at least that's how I heard it).

I thought I read on another site that the HP turf course has been cut up to be resod or something like that. Will they run turf races at SA and cushion races at HP.

Weather forecast after Monday is for no rain for about 8-9 days so I would guess they will be back to normal by Thursday. Maybe :confused:
