Agreed--Garcia always seems to have his horse in a position to make a run. "Best" is relative to the time of the year and which of the "magic" trainers are using which riders. Dominquez is also very good. As an aside my biggest hit on the inner this year was linked to keying a Rudy Rodriquez winner in exotics. Carol Cedeno gets hot mounts and she seems to finish pretty well

Overall, I think of them more as passengers ala The Chief.--except I have a very hard time getting enthusiastic about Channing Hill.

Different answers for gate, sprint, route, young horses, etc. The important thing is that those who are winning at a 20% clip will draw a lot of money. When they find themselves astride a goat (they do lose 4 of 5) I have a chance to make some decent money.

What he seems to do best is race on the lead with a speed horse in a route distance.
He can do this on dirt or turf. At the Aqueduct meet there are many situations where this specialty is called upon.

Dominguez hands down is the best in New York at the current time....... your nuts stating that the only reason is the top guys are down south....... just look at how Ramon did at the Spa this year....... Dominguez is one of the top jocks in the country....... when he is on one of my horses I am much more confident that I will get an honest effort from gate to wire with my horse and a much better chance to get the winners share of the purse....... class act as well.
