First Race at Freehold 12/28/07

Race 1:

#3 CELEBRITY MISTRESS with leading driver Cat Manzi in the bike is my selection for Friday’s opener at Freehold. This three-year-old filly won easily last time from the seven-hole. She looks like she’s got some serious trot in her as her record of thirteen first-or-seconds in seventeen tries indicates. #4 EVELYN GRACE recently won a qualifier in respectable time. Jim Marshall III has a nice touch with trotters. He may surprise and finish second. My third choice in this field is the #5 PERSONAL FINANCE. He’s lightly raced but winless in 2007. Although he finished last in his most recent race at the Meadowlands, he was the fourth betting choice in a field of ten at “the Big M”. The company in that race was better than he’s meeting here.

Here's my take on today's Freehold card. First pick at 3-1 or more second pick at 7-1 or more and third pick at 12-1 or more. Mostly "key" top pick in ex's but more if the prices are there.
