Well, it is looking more and more like a reality that northeast Florida will be getting a new track for Quarters and Thoroughbreds, which will be a great move. I know that this track is going to have the horseplayer in mind after speaking to a certin someone with a great deal of knowledge and influence in the place, and I look forward to the opening.

The article linked above indicates they are hoping to be racing in late 2008. Plans like these usually take longer than expected, so it will be interesting to see what racing dates they apply for in 2008.
