You miss when you can not get Delta to load quick enough on Youbet...... and therefore do not get the wager in......

This one was really kind of amazing. I didn't have the horse rated on top in any of my ratings. Not only that, the horse raced once, and while winning, was far from impressive.

Fools and their money are quickly parted they say.

Yeah, I handicapped this race and saw nothing that jumped out at me about the horse. I actually had the 3, now I wish I had played it across or something- was not aware of the show pool

Welcome to Louisiana Racing! Louisiana-bred 2YO fillies NW2 Allowance is not easy condition.

Here is "perfect storm" for bridge jumpers demise:

1) Fair Grounds shipper to Delta Downs -- usually overbet!
2) Big time stable, West Point Thoroughbreds -- sucker bet, anyone?
3) Trainer manuveuring -- who knows?
4) Weather -- temperature fell from mid-80s (most of week) to chilly 40s with 25-40MPH winds on Saturday evening. Obviously, Like A Butterly didn't lift a foot.

If you want more fun, wait for next La-bred 3YO Maiden Claiming fillies going route of ground -- now, that is excitement! By default, these affairs are nearly always chaos race. Think I will go re-read Mark Cramer's Thoroughbred Cycles or Kinky Handicapping this afternoon. Who needs NFL?

Those maiden routes get interesting sometimes. Last year I had an even money horse on top of a 10 cent super. It paid $139 on a dime. I just played horses I thought would close on the bottom 3 slots. lol
