Glad you started this thread....FG is where I am playing to start the day....any WhoBet cheerleaders are also welcome to take me on here....I'm sure they'll wipe the floor with me....The selection threads have been so squirrely lately that I had second thoughts.

#2 Spirited Away

Not sure how this $290,000 filly can be listed at 4/1 morning line in this short field of six but let’s hope she stays in that neighborhood. From the solid barn of Paul McGee, and while she is losing her regular rider Albarado to Leo’s Pegasus it’s hard to find fault with the replacement in Jamie Theriot — he’s only winning at a 29% clip for the meet.

This gal has won three of her last four starts and her only loss during that streak was a solid 5th-place finish from a terrible post at Keeneland. Last time out at Churchill she beat a big field in game fashion, holding off Marquee Delivery at the wire. Marquee Delivery is a graded stakes-placed filly who came right back to finish 2nd (beaten less than one length) in the $50,000 My Charmer Stakes at Turfway Park last Saturday. In her loss two starts back she was two lengths behind April Frost who came right back to win before finishing 3rd in the My Charmer.

In her latest victory she earned a Beyer of 89 and only Leo’s Pegasus can boast a figure that high. Making her third start back from a layoff this filly could be set to run even better today.

RACE 2: 7,5,11,4

Not a race I would normally play, but none of the firsters seem anything to fear...plus I'm in a life or death struggle with DOOM.

Sorry to say it, but the 7 looks every bit the 1/5 he is currently on the board.

I suppose I should take back what I said about FTS....this 2 is now the favorite at 4/5....

The percentages say Larry Jones underperforms with FTS, and the sire is 2 for 64 with firsters....but, the workouts seem to indicate this horse can run....

Oh well, perhaps I'm about to be handed my first beat-down of the day....

Looks like Jones has had this race in mind for her. Where else do fillies like this get to run for a $45K purse? Ice cold 2-7.

Top connections and strong works ... sire is 0 for 24 with 2yo debut runners (2 for 65 with 2yo's overall). First foal from a dam who was 0 for 10

3/2 on the #7

Looks like the speed. Route to sprint angle. No works in the last month. Trainer just 8 for 108 with 2yo starters over the last two years.

Who else could you possibly play in here?

I believe they said 34 1/2 lengths back to the third horse... not sure how accurate that 1/2 is? Didn't look like any more than 34 1/4 to me... :lol:
