I have never seen a better use of the taser. This guy was using a knife as a weapon. He tried to enter passing vehicles. This was just short of a car jacking not to mention the traffic dangers inherent in this type of episode.

Your description of "just standing in the road" is why you have no credibility. This man was wielding a knife and refusing any assistance. The "road ranger" described him as not responsive to any attempts by the Deputy to render assistance. I suppose if he had taken a women hostage in her car and headed down the freeway it would have been better than having him tasered?

Hooray for the Deputy and the Road Rangers who kept the guy in check until help arrived.
