I can't imagine how amazing that must feel in mid flight, mere feet off the ground like that! Or that close to the side of a mountain....

Like a bird man....as close to being a bird as you can get?

Thank for that video....that was unreal...

Watched a program on the OLN network (before they became Versus) about a base jumper that was the best ever seen.

He had invented the 'winged' suit that allowed a large degree of "flight" during the decent.

He went out is a tragic accident when he misjudged the approach to a suspension bridge in Colorado or Utah. He and his long time buddy where going to fly on either side of the bridge while the entire event was being filmed. (Kind of like the opening of 'XXX' except no 'vette.) They were picking up pieces from the bottom of the gorge.

Outrageous stuff, Dave.

I was in Brazil and a cousin of my friend took me hang gliding. Wild day. He died slamming into a mountainside about an hour after we got there.

Years ago a college bud was President of the sky diving club and asked me repeatedly to go. I finally agreed. He died that day on his last jump as his chute didn't open.

Lesson being: If you're thinking of jumping out of a plane or off a mountaintop - Don't ask me to go!

I went rafting down the Colorado with some guys that had been in the Airborne. They were telling stories of fatal jumps they had seen. One of them looked at me and said "Only fools and birdsh!t fall out of the sky." :D

I recently forced myself to watch Angelina Jolie (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
in a Lara Croft Tomb Raider "Cradle of Life" movie. Her and a colleague apparently did that stunt from Hong Kong buildings as they escaped the "bad guys." (I suspect it was done elsewhere and superimposed on Hong Kong.)

If you don't mind waiting until the 7 min. 47 second mark, the scene is
on this youtube holding:
