I just discovered Sylvie Vartan this past summer and immediately became a huge fan. Perhaps not the most musically gifted performer, but she has a style and ease that's infectious, and looks good too. In fact, she looks almost as good in her sixties as in that video. I read somewhere that she sings in seven languages. A shame she never got the big breakthrough in the States.

There are some videos of her singing in the states.I think her biggest mistake was not staying with her most comfortable languages ,French and Italian,when singing here.
