Just wanted to say hi to my friends here at PA from lovely  Kabul. It is quite an eye opener, I'll say that.

I can now add two countries to my visited list...Afghanistan and Tajikistan!

Take care of those eyes--may they insure your safe return.

The ones looking left, the ones looking right, the ones looking at your feet. And those looking straight ahead and those looking in the review mirror.

keep your head down!

I think the closest they have to horse racing is the polo game they play with a dead goat.

Take care, CJ.
Please write to us when you can.
We'll be thinking about you.
I just read your post to my husband John. John is a combat vet from WW2.
He said to tell you that you make him proud!

Stay safe CJ. How is it the military always deploys just before a holiday and always returns just after?

CJ,

Are you on a secret mission to dope out the camel races for an upcoming new version of your software?

Bring it on home soon and be safe!

Thanks for all the kind words! I'm doing fine. I'm only here for about a month and will be moving from site to site. The vehicle movements are an adventure, but other than that, it is fine so far. There are plenty of guys that have it a LOT worse than I do.

The British soldiers that do the driving, all young men, do an unbelievable job of transporting you through the danger areas. Whatever they are paid, it wouldn't be enough if tripled!

Now, time to go read about the usually very good Thanksgiving weekend in racing.

Hey as the Sarge used to say on Hill Street Blues ..."Lets be careful out there" CJ.

We're all thinking about you -- and thank you for serving our country. (Yes, I mean America not Britain!)

I'm thinking the term "off track" probably carries a whole new meaning over there, huh? Be safe!
