We both got lucky. He ran a beaten third and was placed second through DQ. Nice tri though at $760. I had him on top reallly good, had he won, but made out ok. I was looking for a more heated pace. He did make a nice run in the stretch, but they didn't come back to him and he didn't close enough. I got a late start handicapping, but like these..................
Phila....
4…1-6,7,4,3
5…2-6,9-
6…5-4,6
Calder.....
5…6-4,7,9,10 11,12,13,14scr
6…9-5- 2,8scr
7…6-4-

Why am I reminded of the famous story when, after boxing nine horses in the tri, and getting beat for third by the 10 horse, the infamous Doc commented " The 10 could have been used. "

My buddy says that. He boxes like 6 horses at a time and always seems to get beat. One or two tops. i either use two on top or I play straight or I play first and second. Never a gigantic box. Not as a rule. If I had Odds i would.
