Check out the Hollywood pick six yesterday. Only one horse over $10.00. Parley would have paid $9593. P6 paid $210,750.60. WOW

One horse at 11-1, one at 7-2, and the rest at 5-2 and under. Most must have gone down on the 1-2 shot in the race the 11-1 won.

Ken Massa explained it best on his board............one HTR user hit the pick 6 and was surprised at the payoff.........here is ken's explanation of what thinned the heard so to speak

Race 6
This is where the complete meltdown occurs. #7 was probably the most obvious single of the day. But he was a late scratch after Race 4 was official. No one could cancel or exchange their p6 at that point. This meant nearly every ticket with #7 was now stuck with the post time favorite (#3), a FTS who lost the 6th race.

If you play the p6 in person in California, you can fill out a card with alternate selections in each leg. But the vast majority of players, and all on-line and out of state players, are stuck with the post-time favorite rule. #13 was the 5/2 second choice and won. But remember that this horse was 8/1 MLO when everyone filled out their p6 tickets prior to knowing the scratch. Players that had already used the new favorite (#3) were stuck double with the same horse and many of them no doubt would have changed to #13 - but it wasn't possible.

Had #7 run and won race6, i estimate the payoff under $10,000. Had the scratch been known prior to race4, the start of the pick6, the payoff would have been around $30,000 as many of players would have substituted #13 at that point. But they were paralyzed and no doubt cursing loudly!
