Somewhat of a lacluster set of races.

7

Looks like a nickle claimer. Wismer dosn't claim many but after Lake ran this one down everybody's throats he probably won the shake. Ran back at six panels after the claim DEPUTY CONNOR took coin but broke very poorly and rallied for fourth money. 8yo shows speed going two turns and may like this trip with Leparoux taking over. Also 'FROG who was claimed from his breeder in his 33rd start by sharp connections and got away from Calvin going way too far in his last. And MATCHED who was claimed back, laid up and was plenty over"matched" in last three long in the weakest nickle starter in track history.

8

Think 'Success will run a big race but treating NOONMARK as a free square as its his race to lose.

COMMONWEALTH

Cannot account for the woeful effort by SEDGEFIELD in the Hoosier race when badly blown away, but Darrin gets on all his horses and this full brother to 5 Million dollar monster has worked back twice very well. Leparoux sticks and this one will run inside which could come in handy here especially getting big weight. Also the AP Indy colt from Pin Oak who could not be any more honest or consistent. October 25 move at Keenland in hand and Kent D. always a plus on the green.

AWESOME MOMENT was entered last Sunday at a mile, as MTO so she wants this trip and many of the others are suspect. Dad a freak, mom made $280K and Becky can get one to fire out of the box, especially with a salty work tab like this filly shows. Also 'HOLIDAY who ran a big one first out also out of the twelve hole, NOON DAY who should like the added real estate and 'SATAN who gets the full monty from Frankie and wouldn't be in here if eight poles would be too far. An odd sequence indeed with 2,3,6 / 4 / 1,5 / 5,8,10,12 being the play. Good cappin. BBB

After a meet full of volatile, challenging sequences yesterdays late pick 4 at Churchill was a bit disappointing. We had heard earlier in the week from a friend that we had not seen since the day after Gato Del Sol won the Derby and still could not post a decent ticket. Not that he needs the money , he was a good capper back then.

7 While going over the pp's for this heat we were certain that we were going to single the ten horse and sadly this heat contained only nine! Cappers use tenets to include/exclude horses from their linear wagers and one of our tenets is to exclude three year olds that have started for a $5,000. That rule eliminated two, two others were hopeless and Steeleyed did not figure to get the trip. That left four, we took three and went down quickly when BIG SLEW ($6.60) ran away from this bunch. Although a solid favorite we could not entertain this one. The five month plus layoff was a concern, as was the very weak conditioner, but there were other warning signs. 'Slew had never won a one turn race and a two turn version, this class, is on tap for this Friday. Last week 'Slew was entered at Mountaineer and was a vet scratch up there. Bred by Everest stable... nough said.

8 NOONMARK made eighty cents on the dollar look like a good price winning with hands and heels. 'Success ran well to get second money.

COMMONWEALTH The early defection of the rapid ELITE SQUADRON substantially affected the pace of this event and helped the chances of INCA KING ($8.40) immensely. Always an enigma, the Assmussen charge wins or is nowhere. Of our two; Sedgefield has a real problem and Equitable was a good second with Kent D. saying if he had gone after the winner earlier he would have won! Were very surprised Distorted Reality was favored and Equitable was bet down to second choice. Warn was also declared and will await nine panel test Thanksgivng day and be a handful.

10 Robby makes no mistakes, as usual, and gets LADY ON HOLIDAY home at a short price. AWESOME MOMENT our top selection runs a big one at 20-1 and gets second money. We added two here and one in the opening leg or our bet would have been $8. Sequence returns one tenth, of one percent of what the last pick four we took a swing at!! Both cards Wed and Thurs look appetizing, will play one.. BBB
