Shaping up to be a superb jockey colony at Santa Anita this winter. With the cushion track keeping field sizes large and open access for its signal with the major ADW's, it should be a big meet for Santa Anita and handicappers.

"and the returning Patrick Valenzuela"??

So is P Val going to ride at Santa Anita? I thought he was at Zia Park? I would actually like to see him back...

Rafael Bejarano, who has been promised first call on all of Bobby Frankel's horses in California, and Julien Leparoux, who has outgrown the Turfway Park scene, are coming to ride in Southern California at least through the end of the Santa Anita winter meet.

If Pat stayed in New Mexico for the winter, he'd be the second coming of Russell Baze. Absolute domination, and for good purses too.
