There are also tons of threads (complaining) about TVG, though I don't think many people here wager through them because of the fees.

There is a free site called Youbet.net. You can try that out to see if you like their interface. They do not take all states, so make sure you are in one they do.

I have used TVG almost exclusively for the past 35 months; A few minor issues when a Big Day occurs, but for the most part it's great! Bet $600 a month, get free streaming video (set up for 2 tracks, but on a weekend you can run 3 track's videos); Free Replays and no fees first 3 months; bet $2,500 or more a month, wager fees refunded (fee: .25/bet, up to $19.95/mo). No Churchill,Fair Grounds, or Oaklawn though!Check out their betting platform by visiting www.tvgfree.net (http://www.tvgfree.net/) - Good Luck & Bombs Away!-Bob www.myspace.com/bobgrant3 (http://www.myspace.com/bobgrant3)

TVG charges you 25 cents for the right to give them money? :bang:

I'd rather chew on broken glass.

Well said Dean. It amonts to a 12.5 surtax for every 2 buck on top of the takeout. Count me out.

I am considering switching to YouBet or TVG. Does anybody have any experience either way? :)...and Youbet is my primary.

Of the two, Youbet is simply superior for so many reasons, but the interface alone should help you decide.

Personally, I like the access to Turfday stats on Youbet, as well as if you wager enough, most services are comped.

Check out their .net sites listed above and most of your questions should be answered visually.

My MO is that I wager on Youbet and watch TVG. Probably not the method the network would prefer, but......

I suppose if you only bet a little, YOUBET would save you some change.
That being said, I compare it to when I had to shlepp to Rockingham Park to bet the ponies for a Day:
* 80-mile round trip= $10 gas
* Parking= $2
* Admission= $1
* Table w/TV= $5 plus tip
* Cold One= $2 soda; $5 Beer, plus tip
* Staying at home & playing thru TVG= Priceless!

Many big venues understand the rising cost of all sports and are offering free admission and parking. Woodbine for example.

Maybe 4njbets isn't that bad after all! :bang:

Someone once said if you bet a horse on TVG and it scratches you dont get you $.25 back.

Is this true?

I havent used them in 2 years plus. Way too many fees for me.

Video fees
non usage of acct fees.
pay T. Schrupp salary fee--No Way!!

If your only two choices are YouBet or TVG, YouBet would be much better.

Be sure that the service you use has all of the tracks you want to bet. None that I know of do. There's no harm in having more than one account.
