Lots of wins = longevity, luck, skill, etc...

How do you rate him in the scheme of things ??

Did his mounts on Hard Spun improve his image or not ?

Mario is one of the nicest, hardworking "regular" guys we've encountered in our tenure in the business. He actually won his 5,000th race on our good mare, at Delaware Park. I love having shared in his accomplishments. Looks like his new milestone will be hit in MD, so good for Mario and congrats to him and his family on his longevity in a business that can be quite trying. :jump:

Pino would have won his 6000th race yesterday, if one of the horses he rode back in Oct. didn't come back with a postitive.

5998 wins. impressive. Any stats or opinions on how many favorites Mario 'stiffed' along the road to 6000? Does anyone have a personal Mario 'break slow from the gate' at 3/5 story? Or race extremely wide Mario story?

Mario just won his 6.000th on a horse trained by his brother, Mike, at Laurel, to hit the milestone. Congratulations to team Pino.

Mario Pino is one of the best "gate jocks" on the Mid-Atlantic circuit. He,like all others has been accused of "stiffing" a horse, but why the negative comments about a guy who just won his GD 6000th race:mad:.

Most people couldn't sit on a horse 6000 times without falling off:lol:

Cheap shot, IMHO:ThmbDown:

You have a nice day:)
