Was just wondering if the bet could only be bet at Churchill or if I could bet it any where? Would like to collect some easy money off this bet even if it is only $3-$4 for every $2 bet. Also does Churchill have ten cent supers? Thanks all.

Yea damn what a shame!

Only the actual live patron can throw his money away on a usury like takeout two way bet.

Yes, Churchill has 10 cent supers.

The over/under bet is available on track and at some simulcasting outlets. I haven't seen it offered anywhere online.

Hi,

I only learned about the existence of this type of bet the other day when I saw the payout listed in the results. Can somebody please explain what it involves?

Thanks,

equi

What's the takeout on this bet?

The usual. In other words betting black or red at the roulette table would bring you better odds.

But the outcome of a race isn't random (I hope)

The outcome could be handicapped to a degree. The problem is that the payout is parimutuel.

For example, in an 11 horse race, the total would be 18. If the 1, 2, and 3 were the three toteboard favorites, and the 9, 10, and 11 were all 10-1 or higher, everybody and his brother will be on the "under" and the payout would probably be $2.80 or less. Similarly, if the 5, 6, and 7 were the three morning line favorites, then "On" (exactly 18) wouldn't pay as much as it would in other races. There MIGHT be a way to get an overlay on the "On" bet, but if it exists, it will be found by the sharks and bet until it isn't profitable anymore.

This bet, if it happens to get popular, also leaves itself open to exploitation by the horsemen, and it probably isn't necessary to detail the scenarios that could arise.

the jocks on the 1 and the 3 crash into the 2 at the start?
