I heard the slots were going to open last week (Tuesday to be precise, staff were ready, etc), but there was a problem with some permits....now going to open next weekend?

And maybe they can drop the track take back to 15.8% like it was last year. Oh, sorry that would help the horseplayers!:D

Perhaps they can use some of the money to buy a tent to put over the track? Maybe the entire park? :D

This is one track that could really use poly or cushion.

True, lots of rain now. And as beertapper says it's that time of the year - that's why they stopped racing into late November, I imagine.

But, when it's sloppy this year, it's been a profitable time. When it's been fast, not so much. And that's opposite of my betting records in the past.

I just hope they PAINT the place: it really needs it as today was "getaway day."

Phase one of an estimated $40 million dollar reclamation project is going to start with a totally reconditioning of the barn area.

I've never thought of playing Hastings but the time zone is good for me now.

Is it formful?

You'd think with all that extra money they could find a way to help the horseplayers, who end up paying for everything.

The nature of the game says otherwise.
