7) Very weak nine panel grass heat for nonwinners brings FREEBOARD for his second strart after decent turn move sprinting at Turfway. Miizen Mast colt from breeder that likes long on the lawn (Rob Roy et.al.) has worked solidly cross state for this and Becky good with this type. Robbyup, blinkers on and the price will be right. Also career maiden Storming Marine who makes start number fifteen but has run more than a few that dusts these and gets Rene on the reride.

Second level allowance lures NOLANS CAT off the bench and if he is as ready as his works say the race is for place. Ramsey homer comes back for Mr. Maker sans his nuts and should appreciate the company. But also playing ASHE< PROM and ALL man with the middle one a nice three year old and the latter salty, sharp 4yo's.

JR. COLLEGE will love the configuration and wires this bunch if Tony has him ready...if not TERRIFIC STORM barely sneaks into this cushy condition spot.

Nickel claimer in the nightcap and owner/trainer Denzik puts up Lopez and drops BLACKPOOL to a winning level. Captain B 4yo is only 3 for 20 but this group has seen better days... also Smithtown Road who comes out of the same race cross state, gets Mena on the reride and Wismer always dangerous here with longtime client. Call it 2,9 / 1,2,5,6 / 5,6 /5,6 Good cappin. BBB

Normally when you play a pick four ticket for $32 and have three winners and in the leg you miss you get beat a nostril and a head with big trouble, you have handicapped reasonably. Not at all the case yesterday as our 'cappin was transparent and without any passion.

Leg one the maiden, nine panel, turf test was the leg we missed and yet we knew a lot about the race. For example the 2-1 favorite WASHINGTON STREET was the weaker half of the "entry", ASTUTE with Mott/Desormeaux off the rail would take money and be little factor, neither Astaire or BK's Clearinghouse was good enough and lastly REAL BIG COZZENE would need one!! Somehow WATCHINGGIRLSGOBY ($14.80) did not appear on our ticket, perhaps a long standing feud with that ones' trainer impacted our judgement. Objectivity is the fuel that feeds all good cappers and when the tank goes empty... We took Freeboard, in fact almost singled him as the lesser of all evils and he badly needed this out. His fifth dam is Best in Show meaning there are two Belmont winners and a plethora of black type individuals all who wanted a route of ground in his immediate family. Second start, turf, very solid cross state works, Robby up, hood on, yet, plenty empty. STORMING MARINE was reluctantly added and may have won except for an incident approaching the stretch that the chart noted "appeared to clip heels". Bulletin!!! Horses zero for fourteen are likely to be zero for fifteen. Nevetheless good try by the underrated Kassen who tried to lag this one in off works (no maidens on the Keeneland lawn) rather than leg up on the poly as the winner did.

Nine to five PROM SHOES outgamed 2-1 Nolans Cat to win the second leg. Snore.

Junior College, as expected grabbed the course and held very well but missed to 3-2 TAP winner, for whom the race was written. Races in the three path over this lawn place an emphasis on early lick and this was a two horse race when the entries were drawn, yet the exacta returned an INCREDIBLE ten to one!!!

Logic often takes the last race off at many tracks and in this case handicappers left with it for the nightcap. Somehow KING DAVID went favored at two to one; yet he had NEVER hit the board racing on dirt!! Second choice PLUMWOOD had a much better dirt record going one for twenty! And co-third choice Ask The Lord had not crashed the exacta on dirt since August 2005 at Fairmount Park!! Talk about looking at the world thru polytrack glasses... Dropping off the planet BLACKPOOL ($12.40) wins it for Denzik but we missed playing the runnerup by our inclusion of the career maiden in leg one. We could not concieve he would be fifty to one but his breeder/trainer/owner is VERY sharp and campaigns mostly nickel claimers who have conditions. Three back this one drew the ten hole, blew the first turn and won with a very weak bug up in a competitive time for this level. Given the race in last when entered way out of class at ten poles, then very sharp blowout over this track Tuesday. Solid pick four players learn how to bend tickets to incorporate percentages (probabilities) and the only thing bent by us was our woeful ticket structure. Play Sunday. BBB

BBB, you seem to be cold. I wish you the best in getting back to your "winning" ways.

Thank you. Saratoga, and Keeneland offer very deep contentious fields and our average $25 play makes it difficult to score. On the good side Churchill, the Fairgrounds and Oaklawn are always good meets for us. BBB
