Live Toteboard Selections For Thursday 11-1-07

Warning....I want to let everyone know up front that my selections are going to be right at post but I will try to get them out as fast as possible so if you want to play them you can. The reason for this I need to get the lastest read on the pools as possible. You may get shut out alot or not be able to even play them depending on your online wagering source. I can place my online wagers all the way up until they are out of the gate, just like at the track. I'm going to list a few things you can do if want to play the selections that may benefit you in getting the wagers in as fast as possible.

1. Refresh your page often when the track is at post to get my selection.

2. Pre -load the track your trying to play and wager amount with your online service and then all you have to do is put in the horse # and send. This is what I do.

3. Follow along for a bit and get the timing down, this will help.

I play all the selections I post personally to win and in exactas and once in awhile tri's. These selections are excellent key horses for all your exotic plays.

I generally will give only 1 horse selections to use but once in awhile I will give 2 or 3. The reason for this I have strong indicators they thay are all being played.

Nearly all of my selections will pay in the double digits to win.

I get very busy trying to stay up with these tracks most of the time so if you have questions please feel free to ask but I may not get to it right away but I will answer them when there is a break of time between tracks. I will also give quick updates every so often to let you know how things are going to that point. I guess there is only one thing left to say..................

Up until now I've not met a handicapper that uses the board and betting patterns as a way of coming up with selections. I have been doing this for years and in the long run it works. It seems to work very well at the big tracks where the amount of dollars bet is large. When I come up with a horse or two that fit the pattern I play win bets in addition to the exacta wheel. The wheel is important because if a bomb comes in second you don't want to lose a sizeable payout. In addition the wheel works very well in turf races because of big fields and outstanding grass pedigree horses that show form reversal on grass after running on dirt. My favorite board pattern is when the first two or three choices in the form and not being bet to their sheet odds, that opens it up for prices. Finally I also look for trainer patterns and what jockey they are using in addition to the board patterns.

Because my consistancy has improved and I hit alot of higher priced horses so my losing days are not so bad, they are far and few between on getting hammered, but I still do have a horrible day every so often. I would like to hope that I have earned some respect on what I do, based on the volume of plays that I play just using 1 horse selections 99% of the time.

I've read all of your back posts and threads. I've seen you go from betting 1-5 shots to long shots. I've also seen you improve a great deal along the way.

In my opinion you were attacked needlessly and relentlessly, but I admired the way you handled it and just kept on doin your thing.

I hope you continue to do well and are able to improve even more.

It's alot of fun and I have alot of passion in trying to figure this game out and beating it and when I don't it makes me more determined to get it right (been thru alot of trial and errors). :)

In my opinion you were attacked needlessly and relentlessly.....I disagree. And for me to say such a thing, that says something about what takes place here.

If he's going to be this "in your face" then he should expect the same type of service in return when his picks fail to live up to his pre-post bluster.

After all, it was Anderon himself who stated that the results of his selections "have been incredible and extremely profitable."

I'm curious what Anderon's current long term results are.....he hasn't posted them in a while.

PS. Anderon has also garnered much praise when he has a winning day.....

The only thing that matters is long term results. The critical question is: What is Andron's cumulative ROI for all of his picks going back to the first day he posted? If he has shown a net profit, or has beaten the take significantly, then I think he deseves the respect of his peers. If, on the other hand, his total cumulative ROI is below average, then he is going to have to take his licks like everyone else on this board who puffs his chest and claims to be "profitable."

Smart people learn from their mistakes and get better. Holding his feet to the fire from day one is being overly critical in my opinion. He doesn't play the same way now that he did when he first started posting. Going from betting 1/5 favorites to only betting longshots has made a significant improvment in his bottom line. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I think it's more than fair to judge his performance from the day he started using the $2 WPS format. This must encompass at least 1000+ races by now, and is more than a fair sample size.

As an alternative, I think it would also be fair to judge his performance from the day he started betting longshots. In the beginning he was betting anything that moved.

If he's doing anywhere from break even to -5%, then I'm still very impressed. Even if he's just beating the rake I'm impressed.
