I said this many years ago, and have to believe it is still true, that betting AGAINST the bridgejumper is a profitable angle. I believe someone with a database once looked into it and agreed. This year more than ever, it certainly is profitable.
Unfortunately, at this rate, there won't be many jumpers left...

the winner in colonial looked like an all in show bet to me. looks to me like someone bet some horse in that race with no chance at all to hit the board, and nailed any bookmaker stupid enough to book a harness race with a track handle as small as colonial, it might have taken as little as $200 to make thousands.
by the way, i am sick of people saying that bridgejumping is for suckers. if anyone figures out the probobilities of these horses running out compared to the payout you would think diferently.
if one has patience and waits for horses that have probabilities to run out 1 in 25 times, then it is certainly a winning bet at 2.10. its even better in a few places at 2.20. also if one knows how to hedge bets, you can take a 1-5 shot to win and get even money on him to show with hedges.
and for your information, if enough people figure that out, every race track in the world will either stop taking minus pool betting, or shut their doors down.

Lambo: You are 100% right! The pay-off that everyone should be looking at is the $25.60 to show on a 1/2 shot winning! There is little doubt that someone "moved that return way up" by betting another horse to show to make a score (ala the Prairie Meadows harness meet earlier in the year)!

Boomer, the horse high dollar cam should of run second in that race. He went of the second pick at 2.10. This horse has a 152.3 win on 5/8ths track last month.I know the owner of this horse and that was not his money bet to show. The horse ran fourth and was just beat by a lenght for third. there were other horses in the field that could of never of gotten third. So why pick the 2nd favorite horse if you are trying to manipulate the pools?
