I don't like to see anyone lose their job, but maybe ESPN will get it and put Hank on street.

Gee, I like Hank. And Kenny.
The one who literaly haunts ME is Cartuthers - the best reason to not watch racing on TV. He is everywhere!

Who would replace Hank.....Muttonchops?

Musical chairs at an AM radio station are common. Many on-air-talent get moved out for cost cutting reasons. I hope lands on his feet.

Looks like Goldberg got Joe Torred!

I liked him, had a personality, although sounded a tad tipsy at times.

Would always be very entertaining at the least...

I really like the older Caruthers..Matt, well he's not my cup of tea but he's certainly got a knack for getting his mug in the camera.

Daddy C - Gibson, yes - he is one smart cookie, a pleasure to listen to. I have an expo Tape by him on longshots - very good stuff.

Matt - that nut fell faaaaaaaaaaaaar from the tree! And then rolled downhill.

Looks like Goldberg got Joe Torred!Or to use a term the Hammer liked to use on his radio show...... "He got Bobbited!"

I wrote a small piece in the spring titled "Teaching the Hammer How to Bet" that included a segment about showing Hank Goldberg how to use the new SAMs at Churchill before the Derby. He'll land on his feet..... and then find a chair to sit down on.

I got all excited, too, at the title of this post. I was hoping he was canned by ESPN. Oh well, looks like we'll have to suffer through his schtick during the Breeders' Cup.

I have seen him in action at the windows and he bets with both fists. Hard, fast and loose.

:)

Check the link for one of the items he has for sale. He is the ad exec who is credited with the phrase "life's a beach" If you had been a visitor to CBY Park in the mid 90's you could have watched both Matt C and Todd Shrupp together and live as the picked the ponies before the races. They did it for a few years during live racing.
