Your Quote
$6.8

R7: In light of a ghastly stay at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Bay I could not in good conscience lay a nickle on this chalk. I've since learned that they're renovating the entrie joint so perhaps my note in the suggestion box had an effect.

El Manuel & Artists Tale

El Manuel
$7.4

R8: 5 of the 9 offer mid-level payouts with a luke warm H2O chalk in Simulcast @ 5-2 with 10MTP. Bunching mid-pays can be the most difficult to eek out a prof. Simulcast winning is not out of the question & at 5-2 he's dutchable though babies going 5.5 and the spread of loot makes this tough.

Goldie & Duradude

One of the mid's finishes on top, Duradude 2nd and Simulcast (chalk) showing. Lesson being, shuffle the mid's in the exacta, as it paid $63, don't bother topping bunched-up babies and don't forget the place wags as Duradude would have made the race profitable covered second.

Next: 75 year old, ex-Dodger wants to take me on in match play.
3 holes only Par 3's, 3 times. I'm doomed.

No translation needed, bigmack, I'll muddle through. Just one explication: where did you find El Manuel ? I found him mediocre, and I put him below Yario and the (4), Artist-something.

I found Kapalua Bay to be a soft fav and the Chilean, El Manuel to be viable based on TPR's. I liked EM better than Artist's Tale & Yario so dutched EM & AT.

The scat regarding the last race had to do with 4 offerings in the 3-6 odds range and the chalk being 8/5. Races, particularly 2yrolds, with a lack of
definition on the part of the publics can be tough to squeeze out a profit. Playing exacta combinations of the 4 offered in the 3-6 range would have been the play as is oftentimes the case in those scenarios. Also, rather than putting my two selects on top and yielding nothing I might have put them to place as Duradude paid $5.6 to place. The idea is how to make money out of any race.

Did you know there are more errant pucks hitting people up side the head in Edmonton than anywhere else? Not a bright bunch.

Herewith my incredulous riposte:

"Get the puck outta town ... ?!?"

My boy, now 21, will deny it, but he used to pronounce it as Ed-MONT-on. Also, the Quebec Nordy-kews were a common referent(?). He was a Sharks fan.
