Here's my ideas on the early DD today.

KEE October 5, 2007

R1
#4 ROUTE trained well here before the Turfway debut.
Off at 9/10 he had a horrible trip. Julian stays on.
#6 HIGH APPROVAL debuted two-turning on turf
at Arlington. He had trained VERY WELL over the poly
there. Gets Gomez which won’t hurt.
#10 ATREVIDO ran OK over the poly at Arlington.
Kent/Kenny are a strong combo. Blinker experiment ends. Post a question.
#9 WHAT A PLACE has one very sharp work over
the poly at Turfway. Longshot jockey. Poor post.

R2
#8 BID MADE hits hard at this level and has handled the poly nicely. Can’t recommend anything else.

Will post some more picks later as time permits (no baseball until 5PM today!)

Hi Rich

Race #1

(A's)#4 - a colt at is better than is 1st, maybe deserving of top billing but tough to single at low price
#6 - blinkers and 2nd start move this guy up
#1 - excuses but should run well today
(B's) #6 good connections -respect
# 8 - best early speed, could be a factor in the exotics
#12- next best in a large field.

Race #2

#2 could transfer that turf speed to poly
#1 fires big occasionally
#8 low odds horse that could disappoint

My DD play -- 1-6/2-1

I'm just spectating, but I am with both of you in the first. The Mott horse raced very, very well last time at TP. I was impressed. But I would not bet at 2-1. If I was playing I might try a 4-10, 12 in the first.

Gosh KEE is interesting to watch. What a great meet.

(B's) #6 good connections -respect

Typo right out of the gate --typed #6 when I should have typed #3. As I already had commented on the 6 horse :)

I played the tri and that should be alright

After 2 races it looks to be pretty fair today.

I have this strange suspicion that it will play like TP this year and beyond.

Track maintenance guys and management are not immune to changing things because of complaints, imo.

Nice tri in the first K. Way to go.

8-3/1-6-9 x's and 8-3/8-3-1-6-9/again tri

Prefer the 7 to the 1 and prefer the 11 to the 9.

Otherwise we're on the same page.

Eventho he prolly isn't fast enough, I think the ten might run well at 50-1.

Guys I gotta run - fun while it lasted.

Dean buy rr and Big a Canadian beer and they'll help find you some hidden horses. After too many many they could start slurrring there type though :)

Some additional info here....nuance kind of stuff.

#1 owned by Bobby Trussel, former bloodstock agent who cashed in his chips from that run and bought into a new venture: Tempurpedic Mattress when they started here from Sweden. Now retired pres from that venue and back at the horsie game. A player!!
#9 has been in/out of training since June of '06 but her recent works have been superior to any previous groups of works.

Wish the #1 could've held on for 2nd but it's a winner nonetheless!!

DeanT
10-05-2007, 03:29 PM
Very nice Rich. Two of my watchlist horses (4 in the first and that one in the 5th) were horribly overbet both times imo. Such as it is with most of my watchlist ones.

I hope all of you caught the tri and super in the 5th at LRL. Yikes. I have not seen payoffs like that in awhile.

OK, I am really gone now. Catch ya boys and GL!

rrbauer
10-05-2007, 03:34 PM
A little play on the #4 here. Tons of speed in this one and #4 might be able to take back some and then run on late.

kipdog99
10-05-2007, 03:42 PM
rich I agree 2 and 9 should battle early 4 just sitting off. Gomez best in the business. Look at that last race he had the lead, lost it and came back at the wire just to lose by a nose #4 play 4-9 ex box 10$

keilan
10-05-2007, 03:43 PM
Hmmmmmmm I don't see the 4 here.
