Not only was he a fine racehorse, but he was also an incredible sire. Remember Behrens? His sire was Pleasant Colony. Turf Classic winner Denon and multiple stakes winner Forbidden Apple are two other steeds lucky enough to have him in their bloodlines. This is a great loss to the breeding industry.

The breeding industry sadly lost Pleasant Colony a while back when he was pensioned .. nonetheless, this is yet another sad blow to racing fans.

We also unfortunately lost Old Trieste, who was a mere 8 years old. He was euthanized because of laminitis.
