Thanks

Believe me, entropy did not stand the test of time. Good concept, just not a stand alone program........MUCH better for routes than sprints.......I would look elsewhere in the Sartin methodology than here.

In my version of TMation ..which is called TMation 11 A ..
There is one page that comes up with the following choices
Entropy POR/POH preplay and Phase 1 ( with Composite
Rankings ) For the Entropy read outs we get these Categories :
EP/dv P/dv HE/dv TD/dv and PM/dv with rankings for each
horse. The screen looks just like a LINE SCORES page
Since we never saw a Manual .. We sorta winged it. The
ONLY thing we didnt understand was the PM/dv/ Along the
way somebody said that PM/dv was a Par Median deceleration velocity. Dont know if that is the correct answer!
We found that horses who were in the top 3 in PM ..did very well .. especially in the situation where these horses were also in the TOP 3 in Total Rankings Perhaps you can help with the PM/dv ranking ?
You got it from BLINDFOLD?

I would 2nd zz's comments. I my personal experience with Entropy, I found it to be quirky and suspect there was some "twiddling" of the 3rd fraction that can make bad horses look OK and OK horses look good.

No Sartin Methodology programs
can be downloaded from Bindfold, At one time you could.
It was a housekeeping error that entropy was downloaded
Poster Beandaz and I met on with a PM and I'm glad he got entropy I wish him good skill with it

Wikipedia has a good discussion of the classical description of entropy and defines it thus: "Entropy change has often been defined as a change to a more disordered state at a molecular level. In recent years, entropy has been interpreted in terms of the "dispersal" of energy. Entropy is an extensive state function that accounts for the effects of irreversibility in thermodynamic systems."
The idea in horse racing was that "disorder" increased as the race progressed. Not quite the same since there is not equal participation of all parts of the system in racing. Many of the horses contribute nothing to the overall outcome. It did, however, play right along with the concept in constantly evaluating the WHOLE and not just trying to understand that by adding up the relevant parts. The holistic nature of anything helps to maximize understanding of the "contributing" parts.
A good overall understanding of this broader concept can be found in Capra's The Tao of Physics. A true masterpiece in the appreciation of parallel concepts. This author is unique in his appraisal of natural phenomena.

There's a part in Entropy that uses TPR numbers. That's the area where i had a modicum of success with Entropy.
