Friday in the second race at TP Pletcher ran Referee a 1.2 million dollar Keeneland purchase last Fall. It was a 5 1/2f Msw and he laid back then blasted away down the stretch to win by an easy 7 3/4. This colt is by Distorted Humor out of the Deputy Minister mare Officiate. I wonder if Pletcher is trying to pull a surprise with tis one. Watch where next race will be. :cool:

Of the last 18 babies Winstar has debuted 10 have been on artificial surfaces.

At these prices, I would want as forgiving a surface as possible on still developing legs. As far as Pletcher “surprising” at this point in his career he may have to race on Neptune. :)
