El Medwar draws perfectly outside after blowing the start in last going 7.
Second lifetime start at this distance, he was dueled into defeat but really held well after carving out some fast fractions. He has matured since then and has a gear so he should either be loose and rating or floating outside with brush on the turn. Price should be right also as Joppa Flats has beaten him twice.
Big WP on my only play of the day.
Good luck,
Ben

I'd think twice. El Med is a trouble junkie, quits early, and going up against the likes of UNRESTRICTED, who should take this easily.

IMHO

B :)

A possibility, but alas, a bridesmaid.

Why do you like Unrestricted?
Room for improvement? Is allready faster than these? Race set up?

I'll let my hero Dave Litfin explain (quoted from today's DRF analysis):

UNRESTRICTED promoted wire-to-wire winner Mister Fusaichi, dropped back to third, then came again to finish a clear second in a promising first try; improved workout Saturday

This is a class horse that went 1 1/8 m in its debut. The trainer was just putting his toe in the water....

I'm thinking 6/5 post time odds for UNRESTRICTED; might want to key it over several horses including JOPPA; should get a 60% return minimum.

WOW :bang::bang:

The favorite goes down on the turn and takes Pletcher's horse with it. :(

And El Medwar still can't get the job done.

On another note: it's been evident that Joppa Flats i) can't really handle the distance and is best suited for 6F ii) has gotten some very poor rides (especially the last). Today, he gets a perfect trip and still can't get up ---though he ran gamely (and not greenly, as he usually does) in the lane and probably got beat by a decent horse. At 3:1 he certainly wasn't a play today.

P.S. if you thought that the Darley horse wasn't much, then you had to bet Jerkins.

keilan,

I liked El Medwar a bit, too. Disappointing effort.
