I know Mr. Berenbon previously wrote Thoroughbred Handicapping the Computer Way and Harness Handicapping the Computer Way. I wonder if this is an update of the thoroughbred title, or a totally new book? (I noticed the publisher's web page on this book didn't mention either of those previous titles as being among Mr. Berenbon's past work, but I suppose they wouldn't want to possibly detract from sales of this new title.)

I agree. I found his first books lacking. Better save your money to buy someone's elses works.

I seem to recall this books publication date has been pushed back on more than one occasion.

I'll go out on a limb and make a prediction sight unseen. It's trumpery.

His first book was the worst book related to handicapping that I have ever purchased. I actually threw it away in my last move. It was so bad I didn't even want to give it to the local library.

To be sure, I won't be buying his latest effort.

I ordered the title through Amazon as result of an earlier post on PA, maybe two years ago. The delivery was postponed several times and I allowed the last extension request from Amazon to expire after I ordered and read his first book.

I've been waiting for it for over 3 years now. The latest blurb on the publisher's website has now updated that November, 2007 publication date to March, 2008.

Howard Berenbon, the author published several of the Tab style basic subroutine books in the early 80's for numbered basic for Apple and IBM computers. His previous thouroughbred handicapping effort is no more advanced than those. For a while, he published a newsletter on educational and business software and last I heard was putting out something on the Detroit casino scene, whatever that is.
