Trading in the Zone: Master the Market with Confidence, Discipline and a Winning Attitude

by Mark Douglas

To me, this book is a must-read for all handicappers, even though the focus of the book is the stock market.

A truly skilled player who can overcome his inner voice of doubt, especially during losing streaks, is truly a professional player.

I've been meaning to read that book. Emotional control always gets the short shrift in gambling books but it's arguably the most important aspect.

That it's a stock market book makes no difference. The only difference between a trader and a handicapper is what they're betting on.

That's exactly true. Economists have used racing as a model for the workings of the markets.

46 Zilzal / Recommended that book a while back and it was a great read IMO!

I meant to thank him, but I think we got side tracked discussing if a fish wakes up wet or not. :)

Yup, I've read it, and recommended it about five years ago....

A different kind of title.

I've gotten something out every book touted here so far ( Bettting T-Breds, Modern Pace, 'Capper's Condition Book ) so I will give this one a shot.

Thanks.l
