I'm surprised no one has jumped on this story yet. I'm really confused. I'm heterosexual, but believe in Gay Rights, since I had no choice in who or what I was attracted to, so why should I judge others. For those that want to argue this point, I suggest you read up on War Emblem...shhhh..he's Gay!
This Senator might be at the bottom of the barrel. Another hypocrite, bashing Gay Rights at every opportunity, but trying to get some Man-Love in a bathroom stall.
PS. When I'm reading the Racing Form in the rest room, I better make sure I get up and go before my foot falls asleep. I'd hate to start tapping my foot....ruining my studly rep.

...but believe in Gay Rights, since I had no choice in who or what I was attracted to, so why should I judge others.... Good point. We should not judge for we ourselves are flawed creators. We must close down all court buildings and open all prison systems. Such intolerance is unbecoming of the evolving nature of man. We must disband all police dept. Who's to say what is right or wrong? Evolved man must display forbearance and leniency for our fellow man's indulgences.

Today we live in an age of unprecedented scientific discovery. We know information is buried in the Human Genetic Code. Some genes are “broken.” We, humans get cancer, there is a confirmed alcoholic gene and a predisposition to compulsive gambling among some humans. Undoubtedly, a genetic propensity for illicitness will soon be unmasked.

Henceforth, tolerance is a virtue.

Dave Ross covered it the best today.
Remember the song by Tony Orlando and Dawn - "Knock Three Times?"

"Tap three times, on the tile if you want me.
Twice on the pipe, if you're just here to go.
Oh my darlin'
Tap,tap, tap means you'll meet me at the baggage claim.
Twice on the pipe, means you're catching a plane

When I grew up the preferred use of the word Gay was positive.

There was no harm in saying to anyone "Are you ever gay today."
That dominant use has diminished in the last 25 or so years. Yet it is the first definition in the dictionary.

1 a: happily excited : merry (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/merry) <in a gay mood> b: keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits <a bird's gay spring song>2 a: bright (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bright), lively (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/lively) <gay sunny meadows> b: brilliant in color3: given to social pleasures; also : licentious (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/licentious)4 a: homosexual (http://mw1.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/homosexual) <gay men> b: of, relating to, or used by homosexuals <the gay rights movement> <a gay bar>

Today the word has a predominantly different meaning. But careful use of it gives the Senator lots of room to talk to an audience.

The Senator can honestly say: "I'm not gay."
Effectively he is saying he's not happy today,( and I wouldn't be either in his predicament.) The listener in the situation hears the denial of homosexuality which he also intends to communicate.

The English language allows us lots of leniency in telling the truth and being able to lie at the same time - as the above example demonstrates.

The truth though may also be that he is a homosexual or has leanings
that way.
Just as another man once said:
I ...did...not... have sex ...with that woman.
Wonder what he really meant?

I just cannot see any humor in this. We have to many moral degenerates in positions of power. The whole “what’s the crime” angle is a Red Herring. He’s a US Senator who plead guilty {making his conduct a legal fact, not an allegation} and was given probation.

The real issue is that he became a criminal, didn’t tell anyone, and went about his business as if it never happened. If he was really innocent, he would have retained legal counsel – as a Senator, he’s got better access to great lawyers than any of us.

Although, how can we be sure he wasn’t just looking for toilet paper?

remember, he plead guilty to "disorderly conduct" Don't know about Mn, but in Ohio that can be equal to a parking ticket............depending on what level they agreed to.

either way, he should go away

It all comes down to what did he park and where did he park it?

Quote from whudat.com:

“Craig then proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times..”

and Karsnia noted in his report “I could ... see Craig had a gold ring on his ring finger as his hand was on my side of the stall divider.”

Karsnia then held his police identification down by the floor so that Craig could see it.

The story was less than interesting without that little nugget T. That's beautiful. A Senator swiping his hand under a stall divider in an airport john. What a life!

And, when the officer hauled him down to the airport pokey, according to the officer when Craig was asked for ID he pulled out a business card that ID'd him as a U.S. Senator and said
"Here, what do you think of that!".

I guess that was a get out of jail free pass according to Craig.

That part got me a little "hot" in that he couldn't "take it like a man" once nabbed.

This clown was under suspicion in the page scandal several years back but nothing was proven at the time.

even money there was something to that as well.

Yeah, like you wouldn't try everything in the world to get out of that kind of trouble if you could....

You'd just "take it like a man." Sure....:D
