View Full Version : new laptop ratings ?

Am currently using a toshiba satellite laptop. Approximately 5 years old. When downloading tote data last couple of days. Computer has just shut down. Think it is over heating. Will probably take it to computer guy and have it cleaned and checked out. In the possibility that it is dying what would be a good replacement ? I use puter for playing the ponies, surfing the web, e-mail, quicken account and occasionally arguing politics. Any suggestions ?

I bought a Dell Inspiron 1505 with windows Xp--I love it no problems or slowdowns at all , when I do go to the track (mostly on home) I can ride the wireless signal they have --everything for about 850.

Dell 1505 has been replaced by 1520/1521.
