There have been a lot of complaints about late odds changes and past posting of win bets. Well, what if you couldn't even know what the win odds were before you bet? Would you still bet?
That is exactly the case with trifecta wagering. The probable payoffs are not displayed. How can you be sure that trifecta odds are not changing radically during the running of the race? There is no way to monitor them. On top of that, the takeout is usually higher on a trifecta wager than on a straight wager.
So let's get this straight -- we can't know the trifecta odds before the race begins and we have to pay a higher takeout for the dubious privilege of making a trifecta wager.
Sounds fair to me. Sounds like the racetracks really care about their customers. Is this a great game or what?
