Never mind. Since you don't realize that the jockeys do not work for NYRA it may be useless to defend NYRA.

HI FIG ,
I REALIZE THE JOCKEYS DONT WORK FOR THE NYRA.

MY POINT WAS THE NYRA OPENED THE TRACK ASSUMING
THE JOCKS WOULD RIDE . DONT YOU THINK THAT BOTH SIDES
SHU HAVE MET THIS MORNING AND MADE A MUTUAL ( PARDON THE PUN ) DECISION. THEN BASED ON THAT DECISION
PROCEED FORWARD.

Totally agree.... What would posses NYRA to have employees proclaiming Enthusiasticly WE ARE RACING!!!! at 10:00 AM.... No one thought to have a pow wow on the track and go over it with the Players??? At the very least NYRA should have its people on the same page ,, by saying, "We really can't make a decision until race time" Or is it that ,, they want people to drive out to the track,, or get on the subway to OTB outlets around town.. and drive to thier nearby track... IN CASE they run... they want you standing by with your MONEY!!! to tell you anything else would cost them in handle.... so they arrogantly tell you whatever they think is best for them... NOTHING in NEW YORK changed between 8:00 AM and NOON,, It actually got better.. The SUN was bright and it was warming up..... Pretty sad

Starting January 2, Aqueduct will offer free general admission and parking through March 9.

Now there is a novel idea!

FL does that now- no cash up front at all.
In fact, two years ago, when they started to do this, they REFUNDED the $30 daily pass fee that they had already sold!
Now, their next step to get more people into the track this year will center around car jackings and abductions <G>.
Progressive thinking pays off.
