anyone have the answer as to why the local Sar shops charge tax on the
DRF which isn't the case at the track or down state?

It's not the extra 50 cents I'm complaining about, it is the rationale,
which I don't comprehend.

Gary,

I'll spot you the $.50.

This is the tax you should be least worried about. As you know the fellas in our "Off-Topic" boards love nearly every tax in existence.

I live just outside Saratoga and I've never paid tax on the DRF. Do they charge tax on all their newspapers?

just the form..

stores doing this are Stewarts, Borders, which I don't believe ever
charged an ad'l l 50 cents in past years.
