I've mentioned here that I own real estate all over the country. Most of it I haven't even seen, but there is one condo that I do manage to visit regularly; the one one the beach on Maui. We're off to Maui tomorrow morning for a week. Mostly a fix-up trip for me, lots of painting, but Carol is bringing two friends and plans to do everything the island offers. I'll get away for some snorkeling and maybe a drive up to the top of the volcano.

See ya in a week.

Dick

I've had some delightful times on Maui though have come to prefer Kaui.

Don't know if you've done that drive over to Hana but circuitous is an understatement. Of the Seven Sacred Pools I only counted 6. Must be Polynesian math.

Do you rent the condo the remainder of the year? If so, appreciation of the property must take a backseat to the rentals.

Enjoy.

Unfortunately for me, I was stationed there for 2 years. Became a golf junkie.
Just got out of rehab. Have a good time.

Does that mean you're travel costs are a business expense? :(

As I recall, you are intitled to write off one visit per year to property you own. I don't know if there is a cap on how many property visits you can write off in one year.

The wife and I got married at The Wananalua Congretational Church in Hana, Maui on January 14, 1991.

Hamoa Beach is one of the best beaches in the world.:)
