Picks for Saratoga Saturday:
R1 #4 Sir Jackie – Has a bit of back class and should move forward off the claim. Plenty of pace here.
R2 #2 West Express - Beware of connections here. Forestry OK as a FTS sire.
R3 #11 Lear Heights – Had some promising figs on turf as a 3yo. Came up a little short in initial run off the layoff. Might surprise here at a price.
R4 #5 Tonybeatthegate – His figs look tough in this group.
R5 #2b Parade the Flag – Ran well in debut here last year. Nice drill since first off the shelf. I like the entrymate some too.
R6 #3 Zipperoo – Can’t find much else to like here. Garrett gets on today.
R7 #4 Makderah – Tough to go against him based on his last effort.
R8 #7 Benny the Bull – He’ll get the pace he needs to get up here.
R9 #4 Teammate – Pace situation looks rosier for her today. Should be a factor from start to finish.
R10 #9 Diamond Stripes – Didn’t run badly despite getting beat last out. Prado stays, and his best race came on this surface.
R11 #3 Any Which Way – Bejarano takes call for new barn. His best effort will put him in the mix here.
