Look at yesterday's pick 4 at Belmont. 4/5's win the first two legs followed by a 5/2 2nd choice. Then an 11-1 beats the favorite on the turf. The thing pays $868!
I'll try today looking for at least one vulnerable favorite. The Consensus best bet looks questionable in the first leg so I'll beat him with either the #1 or #2. Pure Business, the probable favorite, can be singled in the last leg so that leaves a short field of decent horses in the third race and maiden 2yo's in the fourth. The graded stakes performer has to be used in the third but I'll find one other in case he needs the race. In the fourth race I'll use 1,4,7, and 9.
Couldn't find the kind of live longshot that produces a big payout but I'm 2/2/4/1 so $16 for a dollar ticket is worth a shot.
