Shouldn't RPM send you the manual they neglected to include when you ordered it?

Without a comma or a 2nd verb in the beginning of that sentence, it looks like you said YOU originally acquired it from RPM. My mistake.

Meant to say:

I recently received the software originally sold by RPM. Since the user manaul was not included would someone have a manual I could purchase.

Spell check and English lessons are two good things.
Check the help file of the software program. The manual may be there.

DUTCHBOY:

Looks like you need to brush up on your spelling as well. Check out how you spelled the word 'manual' the first time you used it in the first paragraph http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/9.gif.
That would be an oops!....right? http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/emoticons7/21.gif

Flame war? I don't see any flame war. Where's the flame war? I suppose pressman calling folks egotistical sob's might constitute a "spark war," but then again, one might call pressman a "pirate" if one were to think he "acquired" this software through less than legitimate means, which led to the lack of a user manual....then again, one might not call pressman any such thing....

Good point and I did feel like a fool after I sent it. Once email is sent it is out there forever on a server somewhere. Appears I need to sign up for an etiquette class or mind my own business which is probably the best idea.

OK, Pressman
I own the Superstars CD with the 33 page user Manual written by Len Czyzniejewski. Also included are 2 pages of additional info on its current performance by other users. Dave Powers of RPM, Inc. has all the purchasers names downloaded, so if you call him at 800-696-0067 you might/ might not get further assistance in downloading the program. "Misplaced my manual," may not suffice. Contact me at Davidbenal33@aol.com
I will be away from a computer all weekend. Back on Monday A.M. 23rd. Take care.

Aww man, you've gone and hurt my feelings (and which moderator? We have three including myself).

I didn't call you a pirate.

Please read my post again...I'll highlight the relevant part here for you to enjoy, and you can see for yourself that I didn't call you a pirate:

So, as you can plainly see, I never called you an actual pirate, because as you rightly pointed out, I have no idea how you came about your copy of this particular program.

Your reply comes from weakness and insecurity.
If you are selling anything, I would never buy it.
You do yourself a great dis-service.

How the man attained this software is nobody's business but his own. There are many people that trade and buy software privately. Some of it is given away as well.
Otherwise it would have gone in the garbage where most
of the current software and figures belong.
Just look on E-Bay. They sell lots of crap.

I does not say much for your character to outwardly imply or call someone a thief.
All the man did was ask for some help.

I've seen many Handicapping software and figure producers that do not have or have equaled the ethics of a snake.
They should be less critical of others and look into themselves.

You and pressman have obviously misunderstood my post. It happens all the time out here in a land where the written word can sometimes convey the wrong meaning.

But I appreciate the public spanking. It keeps me in line.

And don't worry, I'm not selling a thing. That's what makes this place so beautiful. I'll even rag on a sponsor if it will make you happy...the other day, YouBet's odds updates were painfully slow, and well behind the real-time tote.

PS. Don't kid yourself. There are software pirates all over the place, including here. Many times, someone looking for a user manual is a tell-tale sign. Some times it's not. I just brought up the possibility.

I never "bash" or run people down, although this has been the practice of many on this forum. I call it as I see and understand it. How can you ask such a ridiculous question ? All you have to do is read into the previous posts on this thread. The implications, that were highlighted, were far reaching and well understood. The lack of respect for one another is totally uncalled for and does not say much for the people that do it.
I would not care to know anything about these people because I could never respect them.
BTW: I've done quite a bit on forums similar to this and in the 51 years I've been at the game and no one has ever had fault with me or my opinion. What are your credentials? :bang:

Judging from your non-bashing, I guess if you ever do decide to start bashing, we'd all better duck and cover...

Normally, I would not dignify this practice with a response.
But when I feel somethings not right or out of line, I might venture my humble opinion.
I'm not in the habit of making implications or assumptions
on what appears to be or might not be.

If it amuses you or feeds your overinflated ego to hurt someone, then you might want to visit your shrink.
It does not enhance the forum to drive people off of it.

No one has to duck and cover from me.
Just be man enough to admit when you're out of line.

Objectively, looking at the first six posts in this thread, I don't really understand why anyone got bent out of shape, to the point of calling folks egotistical SOBs.

If pressman hadn't posted that line ("egotistical SOBs"), then I never would have busted his balls about being a suspected pirate.

Look in the mirror folks, if you don't like the responses you are getting.

If it amuses you to hurt someoneWhere exactly did I do that? All I did was quote what looked a little like "bashing" followed by your claim that you don't bash people. Yes, I could say that was "amusing", but why would it be considered "hurtful" to simply repeat back what you yourself said?

Bob G

why would it be considered "hurtful" to simply repeat back what you yourself said?

I see that all the time in forums and such. They dish it out and think they're clever. When the same thing comes back, the other person is being mean. Once they see they're losing the argument, they go into a long-winded post that claims that everything they do is right, and everything else is wrong, and they conclude with "I can't be bothered with this anymore, so I won't reply." Of course, when somebody calls BS on that, they'll be back and reply over and over. I've seen threads go on for over 5,000 posts (no exaggeration), and 90% of the final 4,800 posts are between two stubborn people, with everybody else having gotten tired of it.
