After reading this, I'm in no hurry to migrate to Vista.
What about you?

I wouldn't even consider upgrading to Vista until Service Pack 1 comes out, and maybe not even then. XP works fine for me, and until M$ stops supporting it (2011), I'll likely keep using it.
The only problem is that when buying a new computer you may not have a choice of O/S.
I have a Dell workstation running Vista Ultimate since March. Maybe I've been lucky. So far so good. The machine has MS Office 2007 Professional, Adobe CS 2 Standard, Sql Server 2005 Developer and some misc. programs and utilites installed.
I started out on a Kaypro II with a CPM operating system around 1980, migrated to the 1st IBM PC with MSDOS Ver 1 in 1982, and lived with migrating/upgrading to every version of Dos and Windows since then.
I wouldn't advise upgading an existing XP computer to Vista but would wait until buying a new one. Looking for new drivers and upgrading hardware just to upgrade the operating system is a waste of time and money. If it's not broke, don't fix it. Vista needs a lot of hardware to run well.
